Only Took Two Years,....

Two years ago,...a very nice lady won a brand-new motorize car in a work-related raffle,...only she had no children,...and her first thought was to offer the prize to Isaac,...and boy were we thrilled!!!!

"Isaac will love it" - we cried, when it arrived and it was time for the big reveal to be revealed.

The pix tells the entire story,...Isaac was totally unimpressed, totally unconcerned, and NOT interested,....thank you very much.

Of course, we tried to sell the shiny car,..."Come on, Isaac give it a try,'ll love it!"

"Nope," Isaac was totally not interested in the vehicle as a vehicle,....thanks.

Not even Teddy could charm Isaac into interest,....oh dear!

The past two years the battery operated car has resided in our garage, and spent the entire spring and summer of this year,...lying lonely under a tarp in our backyard,...only being touched when we moved it to mow the lawn,....but last weekend,...Isaac,...Mr. Kindergartener Extraordinaire decided to take his little green car for a whirl,...and what was the biggest shock?

That the batteries were STILL charged? Or, that Isaac fell in LOVE with his ride?

Oh yeah,'s love look at that little face,...happiness galore!!!

No lessons were needed, Isaac totally remembered how to operate the vehicle:
go, stop, and even reverse!!!

Now our after school time is spent leisurely riding about our large back yard,....
appropriately role playing as Mr. Isaac goes to work or errands,
"I'll be right back," says Isaac, before he takes a lap or two.

What a Driver Extraordinaire!
I.I. even has the cocky, "Wanna race," - snurl.

Or not,...cause our little guy is a really sweet little guy,...he's not into winning,...just fun!

Thumbs up,...says Isaac for life in the fast lane!

So it only took two years for Isaac to get into his car, but it's a great lesson for us, not to ever give up on skills with our little guy!!!

Two whole years is a mighty long time for a cool car to sit unused, but Isaac is teaching us about the power of patience and persistence and providence: a time and place for everything

Being uniquely unique, Isaac is definitely on his own timetable for development on so many levels, but our little guy is moving forward, a record clip here lately,...and now he's on wheels, I am sure his developmental triumphs will emerge even faster!

"C-A-R," Isaac happily spells, while Mama spells it, "P-R-O-G-R-E-S-S," - and both are Encouraging!!!

Until I post again,...may God bless and keep you!
